Application

Product application technique.
  • The surface where product is to be applied should be thoroughly brushed with broom to be free of all loose particles & dust .Wash & clean traces of mould oil.
    In case of hacking , provide 50 hacks, 3 – 5 mm deep per sq ft .
  • The sand cement plaster should be properly cured prior to the application of Buildmark gypsum plaster.
  • Pre-wetting needs to be done just before application so as to achieve more spread ability & higher coverage.
  • For easy workability mix Buildmark Gypsum plaster in water (not vice versa) Mix plaster as much as require depending on working area.
  • Partially used material to be kept in well secured dry place.
  • Single coat should not exceed 15mm in thickness, if higher thickness required then Buildmark Gypsum plaster is to be applied in multiple coats. Painting can be started after complete drying of Buildmark gypsum plaster.

Tool Water Plaster Ration, Mixing of Plaster

Limited material to be mixed, the mixed material should be brought to use within 20 minutes time material is added to water.

Water used for mixing should be clean potable water.

Mixing of plaster is to be done by help of a mixing rod only.(No mixing by hand) Through mixing is to be done till a consistent paste is formed.

An ideal plaster paste would be a consistent paste, sticky in nature no lumps of plaster within it, easy to carry and apply by trowel.

No Hooks to be used to lift the bag.

Storage at site : Gypsum being Hygroscopic in nature, it has a tendency to absorb moisture; hence storage becomes a critical part of ensuring good quality. Store and stock gypsum bags in a dry place, stock bags in piles of not more than ten bags in one column, stock bags at least 5cms above the ground level on a wooden planks cover the stack of gypsum bags with a plastic sheet. Store plaster bags insufficient ventilated area & allowing free movement of air. Keep gypsum bags away from water. Avoid using partially used material, open bags with partially used material should be kept in a bag with its mouth closed.

Transportation on site : Plaster bags are to be transported either manually or mechanically by help of hoist. Use material in order of First come First basis.
